Speculations over update 2.0 have been doing the rounds for quite some time now, and fans have been eagerly waiting for its release and anticipating some exciting features.
The 2.0 update, which is still undergoing development will be the third significant update of this year. As per reports, beta testers are currently playing the update to detect any potential glitches or bugs. Players can expect several new features and maps in the upcoming update (especially the official version of the Livik map).

PUBG Mobile 2.0 update: Expected release date time, and features of the global update
The upcoming 2.0 update to PUBG Mobile will likely be released between May 10 and May 13, with May 11 being the most likely date. The last few updates to the game were released just before the end of the current Royale Pass. The current Micro Battle RP will end on May 18, resulting in the above deadline
Since nowadays the game’s servers are not taken down for maintenance, users will not be locked out of the BR title. The update usually starts rolling out for Android devices at UTC+0, but the last 1.9 update was an exception to this rule.

- 1. Lynx AMR rifle
A brand-new automatic sniper rifle called the Lynx AMR will be introduced in the game. It will be the most powerful gun in BGMI. It can blast a Dacia sedan with just four bullets. This rifle will fire 0.50 caliber rounds, which will make this gun deadlier. It can destroy the most powerful vehicle of the game, the BRDM with only nine bullets. This sniper rifle will not have any bolt action mechanism, this will make the gun more versatile and agile. This gun will surely change the meta of the game.
- 2. New grenade animation
A whole new grenade animation will be introduced to the players. In the present scenario, grenade blasting animation is quite normal. But, in the 2.0 update, when a grenade will detonate on the open field, some nearby grasses and soil will blast too. This new animation will the blast scene more realistic.
- 3. New shop UI
A new, simple in-game shop user interface will be available in the 2.0 version update of BGMI. At the present point of time, the shop UI is very much messy and complicated. After the 2.0 update, players will surely find it simpler and cleaner. In the new UI, there will be no different sections for outfits of different currencies. Everything will come in a mannered way.
- 4. Playground in the Cheer park
PUBG Mobile or BGMI is known for its mini-games in the Cheer Park and other recreation centers. Be it a car race or balloon shooting challenge, they never fail to amaze the players. In the 2.0 update, a new mini-game is coming in the cheer park where players will be able to play football or soccer with their friends. There will be a big playground and multiple balls to play with. A new football ground will appear on the Livik map too. Whenever a player will score a goal, they will get shop tokens. It will be a fun feature.
- 5. XT upgrade kit
XT upgrade kits will spawn in the Livik map. By using these kits, players will be able to convert their weapons into XT weapons. Players can buy these kits from the shops too by using shop tokens. XT weapons are always better than normal weapons in terms of recoil control, stability, and spray control.
- 6. Lobby features
From now, players will be able to express their real-life feelings in the game. There will be multiple mood options available in that section. Players can select their options according to their mood in the real life. It can be happy, sad or angry too. There will be other lobby features too, where players will get the DND 2.0 and stealth 2.0 features.
- 7. New rarity
A new rarity called ‘Ultimate’ will appear in BGMI during the 2.0 version update. Right now, there are five rarities available. Those are the likes of normal, uncommon, epic, legendary, and mythic. This new rarity will surely bring excitement to the players.
- 8. Emergency pickup
The long-awaited emergency pickup feature is finally coming to the game. By using this feature, players will be able to call a supply airplane which will carry them through wires. Players will be able to land at any place on the map by using this feature. It will be really helpful in the case of reaching the safe zone and avoiding enemies.
- 9. New collaborations
In the next update, both BGMI and PUBG Mobile are going to collaborate with other brands such as Evangelion and BlackPink music bands. In the Evangelion collaboration, players will get a new theme mode called the ‘Core Circle’. Only 64 players will fight in this mode. This mode will be in the ranked section. In this mode, a giant mechanized character will roam around the Erangel map and protect its buildings by defeating alien technologies.
- 10. RP Missions tab
From now, players will be able to check their RP missions while playing a match. A new dedicated tab for RP missions is added in the mini-map section. By clicking it, players will be able to see their remaining royal pass mission and complete them with ease. Currently, it is very hard to check and remember the RP missions. Many players write down the missions in their notebooks to counter this problem. This new system will surely make RP mission checkings more convenient.
